BBVA is the main provider of bespoke flight training loan packages for those embarking on "selected pilot training courses". Information on financing a specific course at a given flight training organisation (FTO) is generally provided by the FTO themselves.

Aviation Skills Partnership (ASP) has worked with organisations such as SEMTA, People 1st, the CAA and GAPAN to develop the Higher Apprenticship in Professional Aviation Pilot Practise (HAPAPP). For the first time in 50 years, cadet pilots can now recieve government financial support for their flight training. The HAPAPP has 3 options:
1) The Apprentice Programe - Progress as an apprentice if an airline employs you from the beginning of your training.
2) The Honours Programe - Direct entry to the final apprenticship/degree year, this is available to cadets already in possesion of a fATPL & emplyed by a participating airline.
3) The Independant Programe - Requires greater self-funding & can enrol via university or participating FTO/ATO*.
*Participating FTO/ATO's: CTC Aviation, CAE OAA, FTE & Flying Time

Professional and Career Development Loans are bank loans to pay for courses and training that help with your career or help get you into work.
You may be able to borrow between £300 and £10,000. Loans are usually offered at a reduced interest rate and the government pays interest while you’re studying.
Barclays and Co-op are the two Career Development loan providers. You can call 0800 100 900 to order an aplication pack. Although a CDL will not cover the entirety of flight training costs, it can certainly help towards it if it is right for you.
After submitting the application forms your chosen bank will determine whether you qualify for the loan after which you will accept and agree to their ayment conditions. You should apply 3 months prior to course commencement to give the bank adequate time to process your application.
